A new apartment

Hi everyone -

Time for a new blog posting! Yep, it has been almost 2 months since I arrived in the USA, but it seems like I have been here already for ages. And finally, I can make myself feel totally at home now, as I have moved into my apartment!
I have posted some first snapshots of the new place...it looks empty, no?
Well these were made as I just moved in the door, on Monday 9 October. My furniture arrived the next day, and I am in the process of putting everything aside. Although the move went quite well, and only 1 item did not survive the rough seas between Ireland and the US, putting everything in its right spot takes abit longer than expected. I think I am suffering from procrastination! I am starting putting away one thing, and in the middle get distracted by something else, like putting pictures on my blog...
Oh well, I am sure all is in place by the next few weeks, so the house is in good shape when my parents visit!

The only things still missing in the apartment is a sofa, coffeetable, a bed for the master bedroom, and some little things.
I think a trip to the Ikea store in New Haven will be on the agenda soon!
